Stakeholders
The Clean Cities Coalition would not have been able to achieve success without the help of more than 5,700 stakeholders around the nation. A stakeholder is a person, group, organization, or system who affects or can be affected by an organization's actions. Becoming a stakeholder in the Arkansas Clean Cities Coalition brings numerous benefits. By promoting alternative fuels, which are made domestically, the Coalition can help reduce the dependence on foreign oil. Many alternative fuels are made in the U.S., such as biodiesel and ethanol, which improves the nation's energy security. New clean energy jobs also encourage economic growth.
In the Coalition, stakeholders work together on common interests and issues and share valuable lessons. There are also often funding opportunities through the Clean Cities program that are available to help coalition members in their efforts to transition to alternative fuels and more efficient technology.
Winrock International provides staff support to the Coalition through funding from the Arkansas Energy Office and the U.S. Department of Energy's Clean Cities program. Stakeholders can receive assistance from Winrock with preparing grant applications for projects related to the Clean Cities mission as well as receive promotional support through the Coalition's web site, Facebook page and Twitter outreach. Stakeholders and their organizations receive recognition in media releases and printed materials.
